  • Claressa Shields is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, five-division world champion, and the first boxer in the four-belt era — male or female — to become undisputed champion in three different weight classes. Widely regarded as the Greatest Woman of All Time (GWOAT), Shields has redefined what is possible in women's boxing while establishing herself as one of the most accomplished fighters in the history of the sport. Since turning professional in 2016, Shields has built a historic résumé that includes 19 world championship victories across five weight classes. She became the first woman to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO world titles and later became the first fighter in the four-belt era — male or female — to achieve undisputed status in three separate weight divisions. In 2025, she added another milestone by becoming the undisputed women's heavyweight champion. She remains the only woman to win the ESPY Award for Best Boxer and has been recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30, the EBONY Power 100, and Adweek's 2026 Most Influential Women in Sports. Her life story inspired the feature film The Fire Inside, which chronicles her journey from Flint to Olympic and professional boxing success.
